FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
Which course formats are there?
We offer three formats: workshops on individual topics, one-week holiday camps in all Hessian school holidays and the Learning Journey – our weekly online programme over one school term.
What ages are your courses for?
We work with young people aged 6 to 18. The Learning Journey starts at age 10; for younger children the courses take place in person – workshops and holiday camps on site in Steinbach. The Learning Journey has three levels: AI Explorer (10–12 years), AI Creator (12–15 years) and AI Engineer (15–18 years).
How does the Learning Journey work?
The Learning Journey takes place weekly and fully online and lasts one school term each – from February to June or from September to January, based on the Hessian school holiday calendar. Every participant keeps working on their own project at home; between sessions they can message the trainers at any time, who help with questions during project time. Projects with hardware such as sensors or robots are carried out in simulations. Booking opens on 1 November 2026 and the first Learning Journey starts in February 2027.
Is there a trial lesson?
Yes – the trial lesson is taking part in one of our workshops. We don’t offer separate trial lessons. That way you experience first-hand how we work. The trial lesson is optional and not a prerequisite for the Learning Journey – you can also join that directly.
What is the Robot Club?
The Robot Club is our membership for €89 per month – and a requirement for taking part in the Learning Journey. Members also get 10 % off all workshops and holiday camps, use of the workspace at ROBOT SCHOOL, early-bird access to holiday camp places and the digital Learning Passport with project gallery.
When does Robot Club membership start?
You can sign up right away. Membership starts on 1 February 2027 – together with the first Learning Journey session. No fee is due before then. Places in the Learning Journey groups (max. 20 per group) are allocated from 1 November 2026.
Can I try the Robot Club first?
Yes. With our satisfaction guarantee, the first month is a trial month: you can cancel at any time during this month without giving reasons – there are no costs, and we refund any fees already paid in full. A short email to info@robot-school.de is enough.
What is the minimum term?
The minimum term is one school term – as long as one Learning Journey level lasts: from February to June or from September to January. After that, the membership can be cancelled monthly.
How can I cancel?
Cancellations can be made in text form, for example by email to info@robot-school.de. At the end of the minimum term a notice period of 30 days applies; after that you can cancel at any time with one month’s notice. During the trial month you can cancel at any time free of charge. All details are in our terms and conditions.
What does the Robot Club cost in summer?
Nothing. July and August are free of charge – so you only pay in the months when the Learning Journey is running. The membership and all benefits continue during this time.
Why is it worth staying a member over the summer?
Because it costs you nothing and you keep all the benefits: 10 % off and early-bird access to the summer camps, use of the workspace at ROBOT SCHOOL and the digital Learning Passport with all projects. After the summer holidays the next Learning Journey continues seamlessly – without signing up again. If you cancel and rejoin later, however, a new minimum term starts.
What is the starter bonus?
The first 100 members whose membership starts on 1 February 2027 pay no fee for the first month (February 2027). The order of sign-ups decides.
As a parent, how can I see what my child is learning?
In the customer account, parents can see the topics covered, find all of their child’s projects and follow their progress.
How big are the groups?
We deliberately keep groups small so that every child gets personal attention: a maximum of 15 children per workshop, 10 children per holiday camp and 20 children per Learning Journey group. You can see how many places are still available directly for each date.
Where do the courses take place?
Workshops for younger children take place on site at ROBOT SCHOOL in Steinbach, all other workshops online. Holiday camps take place on site. The Learning Journey runs entirely live online – you can take part from home, wherever you live.
Can I cancel a booking?
Yes. For holiday camps and group courses booked via our website, we refund the course fee in full if you cancel up to 30 days before the start, and half if you cancel up to 14 days before. Please send cancellations in writing to info@robot-school.de. All details can be found in our terms and conditions.
Are there discounts?
Yes, you can save 10 % in three ways: Book more places – from the 2nd place in a booking you get 10 % off every additional place, whether for siblings, friends or another date. Robot Club – members always save 10 % on all workshops and holiday camps. Book early – until 30 November 2026, 23:59, the early-bird discount of 10 % applies. Discounts cannot be combined: one discount of 10 % applies per place, automatically at booking. A workshop then costs €71.10 instead of €79, a holiday camp €355.50 instead of €395 (4-day Easter camp: €288 instead of €320).
